  • Signature craftsmanship. Meticulously crafted in the USA, each of our knives is finished to perfection using state of the art technology coupled with hand finishing as well as proprietary polishing and sharpening processes.
  • Unmatched quality. Blades are forged from the finest high-carbon stainless steel from Solingen, Germany (Grade 4116). Durable design. Our blades are precision forged using the traditional hot-drop method, tempered to a perfect hardness of 58 on the Rockwell scale. This results in a hard, wickedly sharp blade that retains an edge for longer and is both highly corrosion resistant and elastic.
  • Superior performance. Full tang blades with triple riveted handles ensure ideal balance and weight. A curved and recessed bolster provides a seamless transition from handle to blade, resulting in comfortable thumb and finger support for better control and safety.
  • Walnut Kitchen Tools are not dishwasher safe. Rather rinse and wash in warm soapy water, dry off thoroughly with a soft cloth and then store. To keep your Walnut handles looking good, we recommend a light application of mineral oil every few months.

Details: Established in Massachusetts in 1837, Lamson is proud to be the oldest cutlery manufacturer in the United States. Our name is synonymous with American artistry and carries with it a distinguished history—in 1869 newly-elected US President Ulysses S. Grant was presented a 62-piece Lamson dinner set at the White House. Pieces of this extraordinary gift remain in the nation’s capital on display at the Smithsonian Institution. Today, our talented artisans still handcraft each piece in western Massachusetts—an extensive selection of elegantly functional products, including laser-cut and forged cutlery, kitchen tools and trade tools. Over the years we have survived major world events, difficult financial times, and even a natural disaster that forced us to relocate from our original factory. Through it all, our spirit and commitment to American craftsmanship has not diminished. On the contrary, these experiences have inspired a renewed celebration of our heritage – the superior quality, service, and passion for excellence that would make our founders proud. With designs as diverse as the professional and household needs we supply, Lamson products are at once high-performing and stylish, traditional and innovative. As we move toward a third century in a business we’ve long exemplified, our mission remains steadfast: to aim for nothing short of American-made perfection.
